Henry M. Renaud 2/4/2012 Berlin, NH

BERLIN – Henry M. Renaud, 85, of Jasper Street, passed away Saturday February 4, 2012, at his home surrounded by his wife and children.

Mr. Renaud was born at home in Berlin to Edouard and Mary (Taylor) Renaud. He was the youngest of 12 children.

Henry lived in Berlin for the majority of his life. He married Alice Lavoie on September 1, 1947 and enjoyed 64 blissful years of marriage. He served in the US Navy as a seaman during WWII. He worked at the paper mill for 39 years retiring in 1988. He drove taxi cabs as a second job for 16 years and therefore knew many of the Berlin residents and locations. He was known for his innovative solutions to construction or mechanical problems. He built his home with family and friends, was often tinkering on many projects for himself and friends. In retirement both Henry and Alice enjoyed camping. Alice and Henry traveled throughout the states and Canada with their RV or van. The campfires often included Henry’s stories of his life and humorous jokes. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Family members include his wife Alice of Berlin, three children Anne Marie Hardman and her husband Alan of North Berwick, ME and Claire Renaud and her husband Robert Cone of Berlin and Guy Renaud and his wife Denise of New Hampton, his sister Cecile Dubois of Lancaster, grandchildren, Jason Renaud, Moriah Renaud, Christina Renaud, Zev Hardman and Catherine Hardman. He was predeceased by, 2 half sisters Laetitia Fournier and Laurenda Plant and 2 half brothers Alcide and Aristide Renaud, his siblings Bella Renaud, Doris Renaud, Sylvio Renaud, Yvette Dubois, Laurier (Charlie) Renaud, Eddie Renaud and Alice Blessings.

At Henry’s request there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning, February 10, at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers he asked that you send a donation to many who touched his life during these last few weeks. Berlin AVH Home Health and Hospice Services and caregivers in particular treated him “better than any king”, 59 Page Hill Road, Berlin, NH 03570.

Peter J. Labonville, 70, of Burgess St., passed away Tuesday evening, February 7, 2012, at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester.

Mr. Labonville was born in Nashua on December 17, 1941.

Peter was raised in Nashua and attended school there. He served in the US Marine Corps. He has resided in Berlin since 1996. He drove for Tri-County CAP for 14 years and was the Pastor of the former Bread of Life Church and he also operated the Soup Kitchen at the Harvest Christian Fellowship Church.
He was a member of the Harvest Christian Fellowship Church and Holiday Center.

Family members include four sons, Eric Labonville and his wife Carol of Berlin, Scott Labonville and his wife Judy of Maine, Shawn Labonville and his wife Linda of Colebrook, Mark Labonville of Concord, NH, two daughters, Cheryl Johnson of Rumford, ME and Cindy Labonville of Berlin, 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Annie Jane Labonville and his second wife Marilyn (Roy) Labonville.

A memorial service will be held Saturday February 11, at 1:00 PM at the Harvest Christian Fellowship Church in Berlin. Pastor Shane Riff will officiate.

Barbara L. Kilbride, 84, of 72 Elm Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Sunday February 12, 2012 at the Country Village Health Care Center in Lancaster, after a short illness. She was born in Berlin on January 6, 1928 the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (McGuiness) Kilbride. She attended St. Patrick’s School and graduated from Berlin High School in 1945. She worked for Brown Company/James River, retiring in1980.

Members of the family include her sister Margaret Roy and her husband Ronald of Berlin; her long-time friend Leon Hawkinson of Berlin; two sisters-in-law Annette Kilbride of Berlin and Lucille Kilbride of Bedford, NH; 17 nieces and nephews, many of whom contacted her in the last few weeks. She was predeceased by three brothers Dennis, Francis and Irving and by a grandnephew, Nathan.

Graveside Services will be held in the spring at St. Kieran Cemetery in Berlin at a date and time to be announced. At her request, there will be no calling hours. Mr. Paul E. Clinch, 84, formerly of 124 Wight St., Berlin, NH passed away on Sunday February 19, 2012 at the Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH. He was born in Berlin, NH on July 19, 1927 the son of late Lee and Leticia (Valliere) Clinch and was a lifelong resident. Paul graduated from Berlin High School in 1947 and spent 12 years in the National Guard. He had been employed by Brown Company, until his retirement in 1979, and spent 20 years with the Boy Scouts in the Daniel Webster Council. Paul was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, the Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree, the Ryan-Scammon Post # 82 American Legion in Gorham, was on the Berlin Planning Board and was Boy Scout leader for Troop 207, where he was awarded Scout Master of the Year twice.

Members of the family include his wife Doris T. (Dube) Clinch a resident of Country Village in Lancaster, NH; children Anne Marie Desmarais of Bear, DE, Esther Krukar of Manassas, VA and Marc Clinch of Orlando, FL; grandchildren John Krukar, Lauren Krukar, Jena Clinch and Kensey Clinch and a sister Rita Boucher of Somersworth, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday February 22, 2012 at 2:00 PM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Wednesday from 12 to 1:30 PM.
